Yes why not, I have a work laptop, that D500 yolk, it is my only dual boot
system. I only ever use the XP install to test connectivity with
active-directory, SAMBA etc etc etc

I also require a NIX install to verify NIX connectivity, etc etc.

Its not the same thing, there are issues with XP and AD that do not exist
in win9x. Win4lin only supports 9x installs.

Wine does not support activeX components in IE. I've tried it. Mozzy /
opera et al dont either.

You can, however, use win4lin, I bought a license which I use to access my
bank. I tried with wine, I thought I had it working [jumped to
conclusions] but it eventually bombs out so I gave up on it in the end.

The other option is to buy vmware and run doze in a VM. That works great.
