[ILUG] [OT] Eircom Lines and ADSL

Keith Hyland keith at iol.ie
Thu Mar 11 01:19:38 GMT 2004

similar to Justin's comment, Eircom have told me that my number is
unsuitable for BB...
although there are several houses on my street (Deansgrange/Blackrock area)
with BB

The eircom bloke that came to fix a non related fault said something about
"A" lines and "B" lines in the exchange..
and that "B" lines just wont do BB till they upgrade the exchange..

is this urban myth or does anyone have a clue what's going on?

keith
