That is definitely unfair - as far as I am aware, there's never been a
buffer overflow vulnerability in Exim or Postfix either. Dan is a
good defensive coder, but he is far from being alone in that respect -
certainly his code isn't nearly as uniquely wonderful as his website
would have you believe.
For what it's worth, I think Postfix is the best MTA I've ever used.
For simple stuff, it works right out of the box, and for complex
stuff... well, there'll come a point when you just "get" master.conf,
and you'll be lost in the wonder of it :)
