Downloaded installer for evolution v 1.4 from the Ximian.
Thought it would be a good idea to install the Ximian Gnome Desktop as
well - it wasn't!
Ximian Gnome has been installed over Gnome and now neither works..
I'm running RH8.
Basically I can run up a display with icons etc.
But no gnome - ie no window manager; all the apps work but cannot move
windows/ minimise apps etc.
I'm hoping that it is just a matter of editing some dot-files;
re-installing gnome looks like being a pain..
Thanks,
John
