[ILUG] Eircom DSL & MDK 10

Hi Willie,

> Mandrake 10 Community
> Eircom Broadband
> Cayman 3341 DSL Router via Ethernet

Same setup here, same problem.

In my case, what solved the problem was moving:

/lib/modules/2.6.3-4mdk/kernel/net/ipv6

in a different location, so the kernel doesn't load the ipv6 module anymore.
It's an ugly solution, but I've spend hours and hours trying everything I could
to no avail... Afterwards it started working normal (i.e. very fast).

I'd appreciate though if I could understand more as to what loaded
kernel module ipv6? I'm quite certain there's nothing in /etc, and the
network scripts have explicitely "NETWORKING_IPV6=no" (that's probably
Mandrake/Red Hat specific).

TIA,
Tudor
