Actually, it's probably simpler :
You already have the IP on the RED-eth of the Smoothwall set to talk to
the modem. In that case all you should need to do is enable bridging ...
configure the smoothwall's PPPoE client ... set the PPP details (don't
forget the Smoothwall now has to have the VPI/VCI details. And Robert's
your mother's brother.

Or at least that's how simple it was with the Origo I have ... should be
the same deal with most routers that can do the half-bridge thing.
