I agree with that Doctor in India though.
The E-Voting system "can't" be verified unless access to it's source code is
available.
Shouldn't this be something we 'have' to get rather vocal about in this
country, before this system gets shoe-horned onto us?
I for one, will never use a system that can't be verified in every aspect,
perhaps, if the opposition is going to pose a question to the government
regarding Open Source software and it's use in government, the very top of that
list should be.
"Can the Irish citizen have access to the source code of the Voting system"?
If not, why not?
Is some random companies supposed IP, so important that a question as to the
reliability and tamper-proofness of the system really worth the potential
penality to Democracy in Ireland?
