BTW, if you're tracking it -- the current status is that Ireland's
Presidency has pretty much pushed through the legalization of software
patents in Europe, despite its rejection in the European Parliament.
Highly undemocratic, and the MEPs are up in arms. Nice one Mary Harney!

If you're opposed to swpats, now is the time to write to Harney
and the Dept of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, who seem to be
the people who will be signing this off.  It's due to be passed
on May 18th if I recall correctly.
