that's actually a good thing. it's better to cut a poor project off as
soon as possible. at too many companies i'd seen projects keep going
and going even though they had insurmountable problems. all because
they were a pet project of some upper-management person. very rarely do
they just get binned - and only if the higher-up leaves the company.
