Judging by the [OT] in the topic, and the fact he apoligised for the off
topicness, I would guess he does know this is a linux list. At a push I
would guess he thought this would be the easiest way to contact as many
tech savvy people as possible in as short a time as possible, which
kinda makes sense to me.
