word out asap since the talk is in 9 days time.

It looks like all the letter writing in the last week has planted some seeds
of doubt in the Councils minds, so there'll still be everything to play for
in a weeks time.
We should have a proper press release on Monday and we're going to invite a
bunch of politicians along.
This won't be a Free Software speech, it's about all types of software, and
the right to write software.
We should also have a bunch of good hand outs - about who to write to, how
the EU legislative process works, how software patents effect various groups
of people, copies of the letters already sent (for ideas). And whatever
else we can think of. (it'll all be made available online anyway though.)
GNU books, t-shirts, etc. will probably be on sale (pending permission)
stickers are free.
