SuSE 9.0 is still using a 2.4 kernel so hardware shouldn't cause too much
pain. I am also using a 2940uw card (mind you, this is not the ultra2
revision), and you can choose between the old and the new driver, you
might want to use the other one.
Another common issue is IRQs with SCSI cards, check in your BIOS to see
what it shares and move it if needed. I'm sure you disabled SCAM support
(PnP) on the SCSI card but worth checking too.
