a possibly redundant and time-consuming request would be to also include 
a short synopsis of questions and solutions posted that month.

...or to request that people post to the list once they have the 
solution they were looking for, with a quick rundown of the symptoms and 
the cure.

i find most solutions by searching mailing lists, and am always grateful 
for people that do the above, reducing my reading to one post instead of 
a whole thread!
