Well, hey, it's not like I do it frequently, either.

But I think you're missing my point: After Michele spoke of unnamed
parties "shooting down Lars in flames" and displaying "downright
ignorance and rudeness", I wanted to know whether there was some massive
personal flamefest on ilug that I completely missed, or if -- as I
greatly suspect -- this is Michele's melodramatic and grossly inaccurate
way of characterising a pair of brief, light-hearted posts that, in fact,
made no reference to Lars at all, let alone impugning the good gentleman
personally.

Well, you're hearing mine.

And when I've deliberately taken the high road -- and very gently and
politely, very briefly, and _highly_ indirectly poked fun at flagrant
use of the list as a Microsoft help desk -- being accused of personal
rudeness (let alone "ignorance"[1] -- what the hell?) seems a bit much.
More than.

Unless, of course, Michele has in mind some other ilug posts that I've
somehow never seen. As noted, Michele has repeatedly declined requests
to clarify his remarks, so one is left to conclude, ironically, that he
prefers to take personal shots he's not prepared to stand behind.

[1] At term more properly reserved for such things as Niall deciding to
jump in and mangle my surname based on his failure to comprehend its
pronunciation, but I digress.
