Hmm, never noticed /opt on digital unix. Havnt run H-POX. IRIX doesnt 
have it. Solaris is the only one i've noticed it on. :)

shudder :)

Re package managlement: The IRIX one, inst, is decent, does 
dependency checks and can install from URLs.
