It's a bit late for all of this, but as you say you're trying
to fix it:
You would need a streaming card like the Hauppauge350 (ivtv
driver, install Video4Linux, or compile it in to kernel.
Any bt8x8 device would also be ok.

The easiest way to stream this is with vls (VideoLAN Server),
or vlc (VideoLAN Client) which can handle one stream.
