Has anyone managed to get xterm to be able to display anything but
monospaced fonts sanely? Fixed and Bitstream Vera Sans Mono are the
only fonts which are useable, all others appear double-spaced l i k e
t h i s w h i c h i s v e r y annoying.
Strange thing is xterm in FC1 did _not_ have this problem, or at
least definitely not with the MS Arial font (i have a vague memory it
double-spaced some other fonts), yet with FC2 it does have this
problem with the exact same font (and i mean _exact_ same).
If anyone knows how to get xterm -fa "Font" working for anything
other than monospaced fonts, i'd be very interested to hear how. (and
i've tried lots of font related options, eg +/- cjk_width, -wc, no
joy).
regards,
