And by some freak side effect, this has also solved my prior
problem (<87smdmcgzc.fsf at wivenhoe.staff8.ul.ie>, sawfish and
cycle-windows, cycle-windows keystroke or click taking one extra
click before the new window really had focus) -- my newly activated
.xmodmaprc defines Meta_L and Meta_R, and M-tab cycles windows
cleanly.
