[ILUG] gmake ???

[ILUG] gmake ???

Ok,

Fair enough, you all have a point. sorry I got everyone so worked up.

But for the record; i'm a relatively new user of GNU/linux & Unix systems. i subscribed to this list when i first installed Red Hat (bout 3 months ago - with a much more straight forward install than when i installed FreeBSD) & stupidly presumed that when i came across a problem with my newly installed FreeBSD box someone from ILUG might lend a hand.

Sorry i don't specify that i referring to a free BSD box. But i think some of your replies were incredibly anal and typical of the attitude of way too many people in the computing field. People (especially students) simply stop asking questions for fear of getting a reaction just like the one i got from a couple of you guys.

And that’s not even mentioning the fact that for a user with any experience, the question regarding gmake was a very very basic one. Most of you knew the answer straight away, but instead of helping you decided to vent at me.

Thanks i appreciate it.

Sarcastically Yours,

Danny.
