I just installed FC-3 in two very different machines.
When I run an old kernel, I get a lot of messages while booting
to the effect that it cannot delete /dev/* files on a read-only system.
(But the system seems to work perfectly well in the end
under these kernels.)
I don't get those messages with the distribution kernel.
So presumably there is some setting I should give in .config,
but I couldn't see (at a rather quick glance) what it is.
Also I haven't read the Release Notes yet.
Any suggestions?
