Sweet.
I rebooted, and wierdly, the kernel printed "Can't open virtual console",
but patience won the day, and getty kicked off on the vtys eventually.
Question; should I have something special mounted on /dev, or does it
just make files in there for me ? (my /dev has 299 entries in it
currently).
