No - do NOT put an ordinary USB cable between two computers. There is a
reasonably good chance that you will short out the USB power lines, thus
frying one or both motherboards. This is not a good idea.
You can purchase custom made USB cables for connecting PC ports
directly together, which do a reasonably good job.
