[ILUG] follow up to earlier thread on ROS Revenue Service

Hi I wanted to forward a positive response to the ILUG Newsgroup that I
received from a representative in the Revenue Commissioners as a follow up to
an earlier thread concerning the Revenue on Line Service ROS.

Sorry for delay in getting back to you.

A review of Unix/Linux support is planned for January...probably resulting in
release around April if we implement changes for these.

Ruth,
Many thanks for your response.
Do you have any firm indication when these later releases of ROS are likely
to
available to UNIX / Linux users. Do you have a firm date or is it more of an
aspirational objective at this stage?

I am aware of a number of people employed in the IT sector who are in a
similar position to myself. I believe that there is a sufficient demand for
the service on Linux / UNIX. I certainly believe that the demand is greater
that that from Mac users. What would the Revenue position be in such a case?

Your Sincerely,
Ciaran Mulloy
