Well, there's already a list of alternative software on linux.ie
(http://www.linux.ie/newusers/alternatives.php) which I would consider
to be a valuable resource. A lot of viruses etc. that affect Windows do
so through the user tools, mainly IE and LookOut. So, replacing these
with a more secure alternative would obviously be in the user's
interest (presuming they want security over software they're accustomed
to).
