In fairness, the first thing that comes to mind if you think about
speeding up boot process is "dependencies" - so you can be forgiven
for thinking it'd be a hard problem.
Anyway, who boots Linux machines that often? ;)
Let them stay on, or use power management for the power conscious -
resume from disk is even faster.
