Well that "patching" may well require entirely overwriting the base
application and uploading a few hundred megs of extra data. I think that
I'll modify the app itself to be able to load an updated version from CD
while running. Initially I was planning on using the Live CD approach as
there is already a unit out "in the wild" that can't handle any other
kind of update without manual intervention, but one instance of manual
intervention is probably better that a world of pain in learning how to
build Live CDs.
