Folks,
Has anyone on the list tried to integrate Apache 1.3.28 and Tomcat 4.1?
I've tried installing mod_jk2.so in the libexec directory but when I try
and load the module I get the following error:
Syntax error on line 223 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_jk2.so into server:
/usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_jk2.so: undefined symbol:
apr_pool_cleanup_null
I'm running this on a Suse 9.1 Linux box.
No, I can't move to Apache 2.x
No, I can't move to Tomcat 5
(In case anyone wants to recommend either of these options. :-))
I'm guessing that the apr_pool_cleanup_null symbol is an Apache 2
function, probably related to the threads?
I can't find the regular mod_jk.so on the net anywhere. Even looking at
the jakarta.apache.org page.
It really bugs me how everyone at the Apache organization seems to assume
that everyone has moved off of Apache 1.3 and on to Apache 2.x.
Especially when apache 1.3.x is so stable and Apache 2.x still has
issues...
Any help appreciated.
