Well according to Bloomberg
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000103&sid=aUX7SJyRmFU8&refer=us
Intel is providing a Linux development kit to Asian/Pacific computer manufacturers
who are rolling out Linux desktops
" Intel is providing customers with software drivers, documentation and resources to ``more easily design, build
and sell Intel-based desktops with the Linux operating system,'' the Santa Clara, California-based company
said in a statement."
Yes - that was "desktops" with linux...
also - according to Slashdot
"The latest offerings in the Pentium 4 family now support AMD's x86-64 architecture, even though Intel is not willing to
admit it very openly, by using cryptic names like EM64T and (gasp) IA-32e. "
Strange times indeed.
So - "the end of time" may well be a lot closer than we thought before - seemingly sales of de-icing equipment[0] in
hell are skyrocketing.
