Well I was thinking of doing a stage1 install of gentoo because I really
like the idea of custom compiling for my particular machine and I want
to learn as much as I can about linux, so, being honest compiliation
time doesn't really matter to me. I was even thinking of trying to use
distCC to get my other machine to help cut down compilation time
(it runs OpenBSD 3.5). I would like to try ubuntu at some stage but for
the moment I going to stay with one of the mainstream distros. (I plan
to build a LFS system someday.) Anything else I should be considering ?
