Shorewall is a good program for setting up firewalls on Linux. If you
have an ADSL modem with a ethernet port then you can simply add
another network card to a Linux box and set it up as a firewall.

Your choice of ADSL provider isn't going to affect this much beyond
the ADSL modem they may supply you with.
