[ILUG] one less reason to boot to windows (was: Doom3)

Totally different types of games. Consoles do arcadey, low-powered games
mostly. PC's do the games I prefere to play, like MMORPGS, MMOFPS, and
strategy games that would kill a console. Eg City of Heros, Planetside,
Total War. There just aren't any console equivalents.

An XBOX, currently the most powerful console is a p3 with 64 megs of
ram and a GeForce3 graphics card. It's an obsolete PC. Admittedly I love
mine, mainly for Xbox Media Center though.

There are also problems running many windows games under Cedega. COH has
mouse issues that make it unusable for instance. Others like Planetside
are such a humongous resource hog that adding the extra layer of Cedega
turns a poor playing situation into an even worse one on many machines.

Games are the reason I still have a windows partition on my home
machine, and I can't see that changing any time soon sadly.

  Greg
