Ok so now I have some more time to try and sort suse out. I'm not going to
let it get the better of me.
Suse Pro 9.0 installd and network card configured with static Ip add. as
should be the case with Irishbroadband. the sysem works with XP.
So now I need to get it working with suse. It has been bugging me for weeks.
the Suse site has so much old stuff it is almost not relevent (for newbee
eyes)
connection is not there as far as brouser is concerned.
The IP add. seems to be set ok and even causes a conflict on the local
network if I leave laptop and desktop pluged into hub. so the hardware seems
to work.
Have tried switchng off the firewall. But apart from that it is just
fiddleing. so I reinstalled to have a clean start at it.
anyone free to sugest some directions i should look.
