I found the basic functions of that modem/router worked fine, but try and
do anything with it, I came across problems that the support would not
help. After getting through to a corporate account manager, they got their
bods on it but when I tried their tweaks, nothing worked. The only solution
was to go out and buy a Netgear DG632 & FR328S - they work perfectly for
everything.

RE: [ILUG] ssh and esat broadband
I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this...
when i first got IOL BB I tried to use the modem/router in bridge mode, but
was unable to make it work; of course IOL support helpfully told me that
the did not "suport" that configuration.
is anyone using this modem in bridge mode with IOL?
