See, this bugs me. apt cannot be compared to rpm. rpm handles the
installation, removal and upgrading of packages. On Debian, the
equivalent tool is dpkg. apt is a tool that handles dependancies (and
otrher things), but it still hands off everything to dpkg.
Compare like with like.
