	Actually, Thunderbird does EXACTLY that. Unless you tell it to (by 
clicking on a message, or telling it to make the folder accessible 
offline) it ONLY downloads the headers.

	Sounds like you may need to change your way of working slightly and 
configure Thunderbird carefully - (or stick with Outlook, if you're 
comfortable with it.)

	I'm hoping the mobile featureset of Thunderbird will improve - but it 
DOES currently do all the things you seem to want - just perhaps not in 
the way you want it to? Perhaps contribute your thoughts to the working 
group and help make the v1.0 release better for all of us 
mobile-connected people :-)
