Hi all,
I read this interesting email from the SELUG and thought it would be great
if we had something like this in/near Dublin.
AFAIK there aren't any Linux workshops in Dublin, if there is please point
me in there direction.
I don't know how many ppl on this list are newbies like me (or if there are
any)and if they're in the Dublin area. But i'm sure that in Dublin there
must be plenty of ppl experimenting with Linux (not neccessarily
subscribed/aware of ILUG) that would be interested in sharing experience/
solving problems etc.
So what do you think? Is anyone here interested in forming a beginners
workshop in the Dublin area?

Hi Nils,
You're dead right. It'd take me about 3.5 hours to get to Waterford from
where I am. I guess we should start by maybe putting up adds at our local
supermarkets or something like that, make a reductionists approach and
create smaller more local groups. If we got that far then perhaps we could
make dates for get-togethers once pockets of groups start to form (if ever).
What do you think? How does that sound to people? There's a local paper
where I live called Bray People and I'd be happy to put an add in there to
get the ball rolling. Maybe other people could do the same? How does that
sound? Anybody?
Rob.

well,I'd try organise an Install-fest if i have the numbers,Other wise
I'd be wasting my time and everyones elses,Maybe before an install-fest
we could have a meeting and see if we can inject life into the
Southeaset linux user group.
I would say that i could get the cybermart in waterford for a meeting or
if anyone has anymore suggestions....
