569 seems to be a bit of a con to me. When you click customise and buy
the price jumps to 711 euro. Even removing the extra options that Dell
select for you I could only get the price to come down to 599.
The modem and graphics with this would be likely suspects for problems.
I'd say look into marx-computers.com, they have a Sempron 2200 box for
355 euro, without a monitor which is extra 140. Also, you won't be
paying for a Windows licence which you don't need. You could get a
hardware modem from them so it will work on Linux.
