Thanks for the info - but which is used for scoring?

None of the options seem to add up to the scores I get.

Incidentally, HTML_MESSAGE does not seem to be listed in
<http://spamassassin.org/tests.html>
though it comes up in my email's X-Spam-Status header.

Incidentally, this is on a remote system,
and I do not have the option to go to a more recent version of spamassassin,
as you suggested.
But I'm using the same version (2.63) on my laptop,
and for some reason it is performing far better.
