[ILUG] Firewall suggestions

Hi guys,

Moving into on-campus accomodation in 2 weeks, has a 10mb internal net
populated with winxp whore-boxen etc, would like to protect my own winxp
whore-box(its there for the games only, I promise), I have an SMC
barricade already for the wireless, but would like something running
linux, so I can have an IDS etc running. I have a P150 here at home
running IPCop that firewalls the dialup, but its loud, would prefer
a silent solution. Can afford up to around 200eur.

So far Ive come up with:
Buy a commercial hackable firewall and stick linux on it
Buy a soekris box
Buy a mini-itx box

Suggestions or additions to the above? Any idea where I can buy the lowest
of the low of ITX boxen? Ebay? All it really needs is two ethernet
connections and an IDE controller, dont need graphics or sound...

Needs to be silent though....

Thanks

Ewan
