Hi,
Niall helpfully pointed me at bind-tools which was exactly what I was
looking for. I had tried bind-utils but for some reason they just have
to call it something different on gentoo ;-)
Niall also pointed me at http://packages.gentoo.org/search/ which seems
to be a much more powerful search facility than that provided by 'emerge
search'
Thanks for all who helped with this. I'm still a gentoo n00b - but a
satisfied gentoo n00b :-)
Best regards,
-->Gar
