XMMS is a winamp clone. It can even use winamp skins, if you rename
them to .zip, from the standard winamp skin extension.
If you want a more general purpose player, I'd go with mplayer, which
is kinda like an equivlent for Windows Media Player, in that it can
play video as well.("the movie player for linux")
