[ILUG] How to gauge OSS success.

[ILUG] How to gauge OSS success.

Feargal Reilly feargal at helgrim.com
Fri Sep 24 15:30:18 IST 2004

My laptop which ran FreeBSD was stolen last night. Most likely
the fence will wipe it, and install a copy of XP on it. That
assumption of mine however shows how far we need to go in order
to have OSS truly accepted. The day when a fence can boot into
single user mode and reset the passwords will be the day OSS has
truly arrived.

So go out there among the criminal classes and spread the word!

Oh, and while you're there, should one of them ask you how to get
a VIA internal modem working on BSD, let me know :)
