Argh you're right, find does not in fact support
brace expansion (it does support [] filename expansion (globbing)).
So as others have pointed out it should be:
find . -name '*.scf' -o -name '*.ab1' -print0 |
xargs -r0 cp --target-directory=final_folder
As I mentioned previously, add a --parents option to cp
to maintain the dir structure.
