I did an update this morning from Sarge and picked up the latest Firefox
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050325
Firefox/1.0.2 (Debian package 1.0.2-1)
Firefox worked fine before the update, but now fonts look funny (no
anti-aliasing) on some sites, including my own. I played around with the
Font prefs in Firefox to no avail, and then tried playing with css to
figure out what's the difference between good and bad display.
I discovered that if Helvetica is specified, then display is bad. Anyone
seen this before, know how to fix it, or failing that, to get Firefox to
ignore Helvetica mapping and just drop back to my default sans (that
looks fine)?
