Got all that, even installed a dhcp client and dhclient-ed the
settings (got myself two extra nameservers in resolv.conf with
that) but no joy.
One fact that might be key is that nslookup will not resolve
www.google.com under windows either, though firefox has no trouble
finding it (even ping can do it). Windows must be using some means
of resolving the names that win-nslookup doesn't use.
