real RAID? just get a PCI card. Fake RAID? use software.

Anyway, my MSI K8T works fine. Has GB LAN, SATA (via 8237), and fake raid.

Years ago I would have said never use VIA. But they seem to be okay now, 
and given the choice between Nvidia (closed source, but in Windows 
pretty good), SiS (don't trust), and VIA (were bad, seem to be better), 
VIA wins.
