Bizarrely enough, when I asked a midwife if they get the above said a lot, 
they said that they do, all too often, hence any perceived lack of humour.
Said python sketch is allegedly used (in some places) as a model of the type
of old-fashioned delivery modern facilities try to steer far away from.
