[ILUG] Linux Usability

[ILUG] Linux Usability

Hi all,

My dad just installed Fedora Core 3 so that it dual boots with windows.
Frankly I'm astounded - he used a book called "Linux for Non-Geeks"
and seems to have gotten most of his hardware set up correctly - except
his digital camera and a winmodem.

It just goes to show how far linux distro usability has come along. My
dad is in his late 50's and has found the "copying and pasting" concept
tricky in the past...

His plan is to use Fedora as a back up for XP, as it's not all that
reliable.

I'm actually interested in seeing how that book goes about explaining
installation etc. it must be pretty good.

John.
