Its most likely the first / primary / bootable partition being
unreadable by Windows thats causing the problem. You could try swapping
your first two partitions aound ... but it might not work.
Playing around with partitions? I recommend Ranish
http://www.ranish.com/part/ for that sort of thing, aslong as you have a
floppy drive. Its old, but usually works.
