apparently there's a sig graph fashion show.  the horrors.  but this
article points out a possible depressing future in terms of tech and
fashion:

    The event's latex-clad emcee and founder, Isa Gordon,
    referred to herself as the "cyborg host" and read her
    lines from a head-mounted teleprompt running a Microsoft
    operating system.  The device, which rested over one
    eye like a pirate patch, crashed several times during
    the show, then died mid-show when batteries ran out,
    requiring a return to paper scripts.

a teleprompter application is, er, more or less a pager.  and that made
windows crash.  as for fashion horrors, the presenter is the woman in
the top right picture in the thumbnails on the right...

is it just me or would, "use linux or dress like this," be a good phrase
to put beneath that picture?
